Getting Started
Not yet. We're currently available only in eligible buildings connected via the Gigafy wholesale network. Use the address checker to confirm if your building is connected.
We recommend keeping your current service active until your new Onya Internet service is confirmed and working. This helps avoid any downtime.
In eligible buildings, typical connection time is 1-3 business days. If extra checks are needed for your specific situation, we'll let you know upfront.
Most apartments only need a router. Some buildings may require specific settings. After you check your address, we'll confirm exactly what you need.

Hardware & Wi-Fi

Yes! BYO routers are supported as long as they meet basic requirements. Most modern routers will work fine.
Position your router centrally, away from walls and electronic interference. Keep it elevated and not inside a cabinet. If you have a large apartment, consider a mesh Wi-Fi system.
Network & Outages
Yes! Visit status.getonya.net to check for any current outages or maintenance in your area.
Your router (and sometimes building equipment) needs power to work, so internet service will be unavailable until power returns. We recommend a UPS battery backup if you need internet during outages.
You should get speeds close to your plan's advertised speeds over a wired connection. Wi-Fi speeds may vary based on your router, distance, and interference.
Billing & Accounts
We accept credit card, debit card, and direct debit. You can manage your payment method in your customer portal.
Bills are issued monthly and due within 14 days. You'll receive an email when your bill is ready.
Contact our support team to request cancellation. Since there's no lock-in contract, you can cancel anytime with 30 days notice.
